knox is just a small town i grew up in
a little place where a boy could grow without too much sin
gentle small town people teaching life lessons and acceptable behavior
and telling truths about reality and the ways and deeds of the savior
just a little town i grew up in
that my momma and my father lived and died in

I feel that our small towns needs good UNION jobs! i don't know of any in our town! Why is this?

My friend...Look at the companys that were union back in the 70-80 era...where are they now?????

I will agree that Unions were great in the "Sweatshop Days".....however they are now only money hungry managers looking after themselfs and not the working man...

Then again they do help out the Democrats!

you buy into what the media/news tells you! Unions are NOT money hungry managers, i'm a union offical myself for the USW (united steel workers). Many union shops are still around but you don't hear about ther advancement because like i mentioned the Media/news are not pro-union. Also companys don't want unions, its the workers who must unite and push back and demand the voice in the workplace that we all deserve! So friend unless you have facts, don't bash unions we do stand for our members rights! (The working man/woman)

You also protect the lazy worker smoking dope on break that wont push a broom because it isnt in his "JOB" Description!!! When there are many workers out there dying for a chance for the job and cant get a sniff because the "Union" is protecting this jerk

you really don't have a clue what you are talking about, Unions are all about jobs PERIOD! they try to protect them and make more! You are not very educated on what you are talking about.

unions are great, union workers get paid more, better benefits, better traing for the job, and they have a voice in the work place! Who wouldn't want that. They just don't protect lazy workers, they keep the companies in line that they are dealing with. Alot of people in the county are not educated of the positives of a union, there employer or other family members make them believe FALSE information and that is sad. The guy who is a union rep that was writing i just want to say thanks for trying to up-hold the unions on this blog, there needs to be more of that around in this community

I agree that unions have GREAT benefits there is no doubt! However, What I was saying is that at times they go too far. I am not uneducated I am a realist! I know for a fact that they protect workers who do less on purpose because the union will protet them! Would I want to work for a union? Yes I would! Would I file a greviance because a supervisor picked up something off the floor? NO! Would I want a dope smoking lazy bum working around me? NO!
Union workers used to all take pride in their work and most still do..(I hope). That is what built America and Made our nation great!! However, These days it seems the pride is gone and the benefits are what it is all about! If you try to deny that, you have bigger blinders on than I would have expected!

why would anyone turn there back on a person if they have a drug problem? Unions don't stand up for drug users they find help for there members and help them break the addiction
