Happy Birthday United States of America...WE LOVE YOU & THANK GOD FOR YOU!
how about no novels posted this month, normally the writer is the only one who understands what you ment.
I thought the last "novel" posted today on the June blog made a great deal of sense. It is very nice to see someone actually research the political parties and make a decision about how they will vote based on education rather than going along with what someone else suggests they should do.
Novels are just a lot of small posts combined. I have no problem reading them or comprehending what is said.
As long as they are not rambling diatribes, bring them on!
I think before someone corrects another's spelling they should look at their own earlier post for words that they spelled wrong. It makes YOU look silly.I also don't see how YOU can accuse someone of having an " entitlement idea",or accuse them of not taking care of their family,or accuse them of being lazy, because they made a joke about Mitch Daniels. Also please quit whining about how hard you have to work, and that you pay taxes. You aren't the only person in Starke Co. who does both. I doubt that YOU would get any joke, juvenile or not cause you seem to be an angry person, with no sense of humor and a little bit delusional.ahahahahahahh
You can say you're not angry. Who are you trying to prove that to?Denial "ain't" just a river in Egypt.
Last post in June. Maybe none of his family works for him. Maybe none of his family work in Starke County for minimum wage. I mean if we're throwing hypothetical situations out there..........
So you spent alot of time at the library reading and you won't vote democrat again. First off who cares. Second, were those nice books with big words, and pretty pictures of donkeys and elephants.
I'm having trouble understanding why so many people who post on here are so jealous,,and envy those on government assistance.I'm thankful everyday that I don't need it. I mean would you really want that kind of lifestyle, just so you could sit home and watch Jerry Springer all day. Not me.
To the person who made the comment about people who correct others spelling when they have spelling errors of their own post,I agree. Not only does it make THEM look silly, but it kind of tells you a little about their character. They judge others without looking at themselves. Well anyway I'm glad we got the correct spelling of "Bizarro" all our lives are so much better for it.
I want to thank those that put on the fireworks show tonight at the airport. It was organized and well done! One thing I was disappointed in was the people that left their trash all over the ground when they left. There were trash cans all over the place and people were too lazy to pick up their own trash? very sad people very sad.
I mean seriously, who cares if you can type the right spelling. As long as your message gets across, who cares about typos???
I missed the fireworks tonight because I had to work. Were they awesome???
Those people who left their trash behind at the fireworks are probably the same ones that feel it is better to throw it out the car window on a county road rather than just put it in the trash can when they get to their destination! There are trash cans at every gas station and at the entrance to just about any business you go into...restaurants, stores, etc. We pick up trash several times a year on our road and get huge bags full every time. It is disgusting and I get that the teens don't want mom and dad knowing they drank that case of beer so that beer box with the cans or bottles gets tossed before they get home, but what are the families that park near our woods and eat their McDonald's food (including the kids' happy meals) teaching their kids when they throw out the trash piece by piece as they finish eating?
I agree about the trash thrown on the ground. Sadly, it is going on all over the county. Trash is thrown from vehicles, dumped in the fields, burned and then the ashes and unburned materials dumped in fields and ditches. Drive north on 250w and see how people throw trash out the cars ON THEIR WAY HOME !! How moronic is that !! These slobs doing this is bad enough, but they do it in front of their kids. So what are you teaching them ??? What other great lessons of life are you passing on ? Kicking puppies ?
I find it funny that a wide variety of people in the county post such negative comments here regarding politicians in the area, but will still vote for "good ole boys" over and over. If you truely want a change in the community and how it is managed, CHANGE YOUR VOTES!! Express your opinions to the people you voted for as you do here and watch the response, if any. Better yet, express your opinion the way it was ment to be. BY VOTING for who is right, not who is "popular".
Yes thowing out trash is an issue. when I made the first post I was pretty upset that so many people are so careless I would have expected some but not as much as I had seen. I totally agree with you on people throwing the trash out the car windows I see it all the time. How sad is it that people do not think twice about throwing trash out like that? LOL Maybe next time I see it I follow the trasher and when they get out of their car I throw my trash in it or in their yard? I wonder how upset they would be?
Well it can't be my wife throwing garbage out. Her car is always full of garbage. I clean it out in a week or two you couldn't tell I did anything. I think she's too lazy to throw it out the window.
Thank your wife for those of us that are always cleaning up the road sides! LOL!! Happy 4th everyone!
We went to Drive In last night, people are so rude, they take two parking places up. Set their chairs in the way of another parking place. Van backed in and put up their tail gate. The one next to us was made to tied his down by the owner, because a
car behind them could not see. We also got a garbage bag at the gate for our garbage. That was nice. Please people keep America beautiful, don't throw trash from your cars.
May be Indiana should adopt the 10 cent can and bottle return. This might help some of the trash from being thrown out the windows, or simply left behind. The people that leave their trash behind and trow it out their windows are the same people that are to lazy to put their shopping cart in the right place, after they put their bags in the car. The thing is that laziness is like a cold it is catchy, so teach the young people right from wrong. The cycle needs to be broken from the pace where learning is started in the homes, so come on mom and dads teach the young the right way, then america can truly be great once again. Happy 4th of July everyone, and be safe
I usually come on here just to read the stupid comments and laugh. The one thing that drives me crazy is all you people want to piss and moan about everything and always use Anonymous. Grow a pair people.
So the jury said that Casey Anthony was not guilty. Everyone wants to complain about the criminal justice system but it was the jury of people who decided. It wasn't the government or the judge or the media or a bunch of corporate CEOs or a group of lawyers or the other party girls. It was 12 regular people who all agreed that the prosecuter didn't prove it. I don't know if they made a mistake or not, and maybe it was the prosecuters fauolt, but at least 12 people made the decision, and I like that. So unless you werre one of those 12 people who were at the trial every day then you should keep your piehole shut.
I have to agree with all those that are upset about garbage being thrown out, I couldn't believe it when I was standing outside in my yard and someone actually threw out a McDonald's bag while I was standing right there. talk about guts.
But lets talk about Mopeds. I'm curious to know if anyone else is upset about them being on the highway. Riding with little kids setting in front of the driver. We have seat belt laws, car seat laws for children of a certain size and weight, in our cars and yet you see young kids riding wiht other little kids on back on state highways, unprotected in any way. The last I heard this was against the law. We really need to educate people about this before someone gets killed. And our police officers need to be out to enforce the law.
I do not trust local, state and most especially the federal government. Seems as though most elected officials take office and then they cross over to the dark side and instead of working for we the people all of a sudden they are in charge and telling us what we can and cannot do. At every turn the Constitution of the United States and Bill of Rights are being eroded and in some cases downright ignored.
i was flying over starke county july 3rd at nightime. looking down and seeing all the methlabs exploding it was a good show!!!!!!
We should all be like Ray. He's a real "tough guy". Sort of anyway.
FOOD PANTRY: Alright Starke County, it is time to put the money where our mouths are. We all like to complain how this county has issues with the local powers that be and how they can make a change. Well, now it is our turn to put up or shut up. The food pantry supplies the most basic of human needs, but the most important. FOOD. You do not even have to go out of your way to help those that do not know where the next meal FOR THEIR CHILDREN, or those elderly that have fallen on hard times after a long life of working and supporting the community. It is as simple as dropping off food items off at the food bank, or in the containers located at many buisnesses in the area. You can be synical and say "Why help those that will not work or are drug addicts". OR you can realize that for every person that might be abusing the "system", there are three families that truely NEED the assistance. If you take time to read the article, they are asking for "mac-and-cheese" and canned veggies..... NOT CASH.. WE all complain about the government sending so much aid overseas when there are so many in this country that need it more...... Well, here is your chance to practice what we preach. I know that I am able to sleep much better and am able to look in the mirror easier knowing that a child had dinner today because I sacrificed a few dollars on food.
Illegals are a big problem that could be handled easily by our armed forces. Eisenhower did it so why can’t our current administration? Washington instead wants and is desperately trying to wave a magic wand and provide all illegals amnesty. As a side note there many illegals becoming extremely wealthy through human trafficking by funneling their human products to unscrupulous, greedy businesses and farmers.
And please stop with the rhetoric of there are too many of them and they have rights too. They broke the law the minute they crossed the border and that makes each and every one a criminal and many of them are already hardened criminals such as murderers, rapists’, drug dealers and thieves.
As far as the myth of them doing jobs Americans won’t ….. Well, that is the government’s way of making Americans more dependent on government programs such as unemployment, disability or the myriad of other social services available. See a trend toward socialism here?
The problem is Gov't is TOO BIG on ALL levels. People have had to quit relying on themselves for the Gov't gives out so many handouts...to appease the masses. At the same time most of our leaders have sold out to Big Biz for profits...heck, even wars are being fought for profits. The $ needed to run our Gov't & the astronomical salaries has bled the taxbase, thus being so high as to strangle job growth, not including the racket of Worker's Comp. Health Care is far better off with the Gov't NOT involved IF...& I say IF...our society can operate again on a good honest, morale level. Our local State Gov'ts need to quit looking at "possible" tax incomes & do what is NEEDED for the people, then plenty of tax$ will filter in for our Gov't to survive. We keep electing folks to promote "change", yet they get sucked into the same huge, corrupt machine that's ever-growing. It brings you to really wonder what it's going to take to bring that CHANGE. So we need real leaders, with the correct ideas, to stand up & tell the people what we need to do so we can all get off our lazy, crying butts AND DO IT.
I would love to know why the old White House Motel is open. They closed the Motel on 30 for the meth labs, so why not the White House?
Does anybody know what happened to Oh My Pizza? Are they planning to re-open?
Here are a few nuggets from HB 3200, aka Obamacare, for your digestion and enjoyment, replete with page number references. Have a nice day.
A.** Page 50/section 152: The bill will provide insurance to all non-U.S. residents, even if they are here illegally.
B.** Page 58 and 59: The government will have real-time access to an individual's bank account and will have the authority to make electronic fund transfers from those accounts.
C.** Page 65/section 164: The plan will be subsidized (by the government) for all union members, union retirees and for community organizations (such as the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now - ACORN).
D.** Page 241 and 253: Doctors will all be paid the same regardless of specialty, and the government will set all doctors' fees. (Socialized medicine anyone?)
E.** Page 425, line 4-12: The government mandates advance-care planning consultations. Those on Social Security will be required to attend an "end-of-life planning" seminar every five years. (Death counseling..)
F.** Page 429, line 13-25: The government will specify which doctors can write an end-of-life order.
I would love to know why the elevator in the Starke County courthouse is STILL out of order? How are people with disabilities suppose to access the offices housed on the 2nd and 3rd floors?
OOOOHHH Pancho, OOOOHHH Sysco, OOOOHHH MY Pizza.
Common Sense (CS) has been MIA for a very long time. He (CS) went missing about the same time Political Correctness (PC) came to town. And as wonderful as PC is supposed to be there are some who aren’t quite certain.
In some circles it is actually whispered that PC may very well be responsible for the demise of CS though those that whisper always end with “you didn’t hear that from me.”
It is also rumored that the demise of CS is evidenced by parents attacking teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children, churches becoming businesses; criminals receiving better treatment than their victims and being afraid to defend yourself from a burglar in your own home out of fear the burglar will sue you for assault and be awarded everything you own.
Seems that reason, responsibility, truth, trust and discretion have been supplanted by the mantras I know my rights, I want it now, someone else is to blame and I am a victim.

As for your "excerpts" of the Affordable Healthcare Act, too bad they are made up. That is what happens when you copy and paste from other sources instead of actually reading the Act itself.
I am a disappointed in the judging results of the Open Class at the Starke County 4-H fair! Items should be judged on the creativity, effort, quality, etc. not on the judge's preference! I spent about 35 hours on a project and got beat by something that literally took about 30 minutes to make. Basically something elaborate got beat by something simple!!!
i would like to no why its a good idea to put people on house arrest with no bracelet and they still run the roads and get away with it and they act like no big deal there not learning any responsibity thanks
just wanted to know when the harvest fest parade is. I wanted to get a group of active and retired union workers to march in the parade. This is would be open to all peolple who support and or want to join a labor union. I feel that this would be a step in the right direction to show support for workers in the county. And help give more life to the labor movement in the county. I'm just trying to get the word out to all who would be interested if you don't want to get involved i ask that you don't bash me on here, for i'm not bashing anyone. So if you are interested e-mail me at nickyoung1010@yahoo.com thanks!
FYI Mr. Nathan VanDerAA is out and about on the public streets. After how many probation violations? Where did he get bail money from? Do you suppose his former State Policeman daddy bonded him out? Dad is also a county elected official( coroner) Makes you wonder why the cops beat their brains out trying to catch scum like this doesn't it?This shameful and Starke County needs to pursue this case.
In response to the article that was ran on July 14, 2011 regarding “Restroom Facilities Requested”.
Mr. Morin, I appreciate your efforts in obtaining equal access for the Knox community. What I do not understand is why are you, more or less, demanding that changes happen immediately. I would like to know your opinion, through your eyes as a city council candidate this fall, how you expect for a municipality to afford such dramatic changes when most budgets are being reduced while cost are going up. What would you cut to make your proposed changes progress more quickly? Would you cut the budget to repair streets or maintain the sewer and water department infrastructure reduce the number of police officers on duty, what would you eliminate or change? Change can take time to implement especially something as important as accessibility but it also takes money. The problems that you are pointing out with the improper installation of accessible components are the exact problems that will be consistently faced if things are rushed. You should be happy that change is happening and supportive of that change. Maybe try working more with the city and less on demanding action.
Is anyone missing an Australian Shepard? If so please post on here.
I think Mr. Morin is pushing an envelope that should have been pushed for 21 years, but got pushed to the wayside with the inefficiency of some of our elected officials. Lets look at how much a sign costs, or the placement of a sign and some blue paint on a curb. Or even get the city to look at ways to enforce the ordinances. Look at some of the ridiculous ordinances they already try to enforce, Like park board membership. Does the sheriffs department really need a pick up truck? Or lets talk about some of the salaries, and insurance policies some of these elected official had over the past twenty-one years. (I remember some of the elaborate procedures) Before you slam this guy, be reasonable and open to compromise. I would think you would hear a different tune from this guy if this was being worked on, but its not. It is getting passed around now, which is so typical of starke county.
Dr. Leonard Leakey Hofstadter
With all due respect, I have done my research. It is abundantly clear you have not. And further, if you wish to rebut a comment at least exercise a bit of decorum and use your real name and not the name of a fictional character from a television series.
To the person who was upset about the ribbon that they got at the fair. Everyone wishes to get a Grand Champion at the fair. It is not always possible. There are lots of classes and categories and lots of enteries have several different places to place their enteries. I'm sorry you didn't win this year. Please don't let that stop you from tryng again. We encourage everyone to enter in the open class. This year I was upset with a red ribbon until I read the judges comment. It help me to improve for next year. Try again!
dear open class person email a pic of your project, i am a professional artist been making a living at it for over 30yrs, i would look at your work and advise, indiana1492@hotmail.com
being upset by not winning is normal and shows you put heart in your work that is good.
Sharia law is waiting in the wings and gaining a foothold. The government, once again local, state and federal and most citizens have their heads in the sand. If we the people do not wake up, get educated about this threat, then get involved in reversing this subtle aggression, I fear not only will the American Dream be dying but America the great will soon be down for the dirt nap and we, my friends, will wake up living in a third world socialist/Marxist state.
It is exceedingly clear that those inside the beltway are following, almost to the letter, the methodology known as the Cloward-Piven Strategy which seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse. And that is when Islam will make its move. Dhimmitude for the Christians you ask? Perhaps but most likely shouts of “ Allahu Akbar” accompanied by the sounds that were heard in Ft. Hood TX on November 5, 2009.
Anonymous July 16, 2011 12:19 AM: I think you are confusing City officials and County officials in your references along with City ordnances and State statutes.
A friend of mine lost his kayak around 1150 or 1200 the other night. It is a yellow and orange Pelican 80. He didn't have it tied down well enough. If anyone has seen it please call Tim Reinholt @574-807-2243.
There is understandable concerns associated with the President's suggestion that Social Security and other benefits won't get paid in the absence of a deal to raise the debt ceiling. This is a scare tactic, pure and simple.
Spending on Social Security, Medicare, veterans' benefits and our troops has already been authorized by Congress, and the President has the authority to continue funding these priorities. If he chooses not to, it will be his decision and his alone.
Of the 50 comments published in July, Rog Wiegel has 7. Thats 14%. How about giving somebody else a chance?
I agree with July 21 at 2:50 PM. The only thing I would add is that if Rod wants to keep posting, at least try to make sense!
So sorry to hear about the passing of Jim Keen he was a good man.

The medications that Jack Haut was taking say do not drive or operate Heavy Machinery while taking these medications until you see how they affect you. I would say not remembering what you were doing means no driving.
If these big corporations would start bringing HOME the jobs unemployment would be down. If you move the jobs out of the USA then all the CEO"S and their familys should move there too and see how good it is there
How do you stop someone from getting an animal. This person has a child that hurts any and all animals that they come around. Yes the parents know its going on. Now they plan on getting a larger animal so when the child hurts the animal it wont be so bad on the animal.
You're right, THEY TOOK R JOBS.Blame Canada
To the person asking about how to prevent someone from getting an animal. If you know where they are getting it, contact the seller or the shelter and give them a heads up. It might help. If they get it and the kid starts abusing it, report it. That child needs professional help.

I first began paying social security tax in 1962, I will be 65 next month, and my social security account reflects both my contributions and those of my employers. The account is sizable.
The current administration is suggesting my benefits may be reduced and yet we have vast numbers of our population having never paid into social security receiving monthly SSI checks and other benefits. It appears our government rewards underachievement and penalizes achievement. Or might this be another brick in the wall of socialism?
Seem to me this underscores the incompetency of those we let go to Washington to allegedly represent us and calls into question their understanding of and adherence to the oath they took when they took office.
Quit copying stuff out of the Wall Street Journal,Smarty Pants.
the skateboarders in North Judson are getting out of control again....down the middle of Lane Street is definitely NOT the skate park....somebody is going to get hurt .....please notify the police when you see them abusing the ordinance
If the town of NJ would allow the skateboarders to actually build a skatepark, they would most likely skate in the park. They have the money and the parents to build it, the town just says no. What they have is nothing, just a slab of concrete. Quit your crying and help them. Get involved with your community, don't just complain about it.
So it's ok for the skateboarders to break the ordinances because they feel they are being picked on? Wow with that train of thought just imagine the things a person could do every time someone slights them. It's time to teach our children that just because you don't get what you want doesn't mean you can whine and sulk and do as you please to force others to your way of thinking. If they want it bad enough get a petition drive going, show you have the money and prove that you are somehow being discriminated against. It is not ok to break the law be it a town ordinance or a state law, whether you like it or not.
About the comment skateboarder have no place to skateboard. They can skate board at Norwayne Field, and at the town park on the basketball court. It is still against the law to skate down the streets of a town. Parents of skate boarders, maybe you should think of donating money for more things for them to jump over and skate up and down. A little lumber would make some of those things.
Maybe the skateboarders should get involved in the community and show some community pride instead of whining about not having everything they want......maybe if they show that they can take some responsibility things could turn around
Just so you know, there will be spelling errors in the following comment. Get ovet it.....
Concerning the "problem" with skateboarders..... Really ????? With all in this county that could be discussed and problems that need attention, this is the battle you choose ? You would think that ADULTS would simply be happy that these kids are outside actually doing anything physical instead of in the house with their faces plastered to the tv or mindlessly playing video games. PLEASE, take all the energy you are wasteing on this issue, and aim it at a topic that actually takes a thought.
Can anyone explain why golf carts are not allowed on any streets in this county, EXCEPT apparently anywhere around Bass Lake ??? EVERY time we, a LOCAL family, try to drive to the lake for boating, swimming, or just a peaceful drive we are forced to drive behind people driving golf carts. And when you drive around these people, they look at you as if you are the one doing something wrong and turn their noses up at you. These people live, most of them seasonally, at the lake... so where are thy going ? I actually stopped one person that had six, yes six people on the cart and asked them where they were going to need to drive in the streets. His answer was simply, "I live here". However, all the vehicles at his house had out of state plates on them. hmmmmmmm
Using that reasoning, I should be able to buy a golf cart and drive it anywhere in town that I wish. I do not understand wht we, FULL TIME RESIDENTS of this county, are punished for activities that the people spending weekends here do continiously without reprise.
Why is it a dead-beat dad who is over $21,000 behind in child support gets teated nicely? The mother who does her best to raise her autistic son gets told she has to have a job by the next court date. Of course, the dead-beat dad hasn't worked in years walks out of court with a smile and no worries. My wife has been a stay at home mom to watch our four kids. She has a bad back and has to take our son to Dyer for his appointments almost on a weekly basis. How is she going to get a job with her problems? I'm sure any employer out there will give her any day off she needs for his appointments as well. Meanwhile, the dead-beat dad walks around free and doesn't have to worry about paying for his child. That's Starke County courts in action. No one most people have such a low opinion of this county.
lets make a new governing law. unless you live full time in indiana have indiana license plates you are not able to own a home on our lake.
Riding skateboards down the street is wrong, just give them a little space in some back corner of the park and let them have a little skate park. Then when you catch em skate boarding down the street, slap them with a fine. End of story.
The golf carts being driven around the lake are Thanks to the fact that the County Police and the state of Indiana don't enforce the rules. I think that golf carts should have seat belts and license plates especially if you are driving them on the road.
bass lake is a resort area, golf carts are fine to me, just not after dark and adult or older teen driven.
Then why are skateboards different the bicycles? If golf carts can drive on the roads, then why can't skateboards go down sidewalks? Bikes do and no one is saying anything about that.
our lake??? i will bet that you don'T EVEN PAY ANY LAKE RIGHTS REAL ESTATE TAXES!!! YOU ARE PROBLEY AT HILLBILLY BEACH RIGHT NOW LEAVING BEER CANS AND TRASH ALL OVER. THIS IS IN RESPONSE TO JULY 27 2001 AT 536. PM
Why isnt Mr. Slaughter at the middle school being replaced? Is Industrial technology no longer important? These our skills our kids need. There are great careers out there in trades, but I guess not for our kids. My son loves building and was looking forward to that next year, but not any more. Glad to see how much our school board cares about kids who's skills aren't necessarily in books. Was this a budget thing? I can't believe that when everyone gets a laptop. Well, computers don't build houses. People with skills do. I guess we'll have to email other counties to help us fill construction jobs.
I'm glad to see our town is doing so great that everyone can get a raise. Awesome
Anonymous July 28, 2011 2:17pm:
I believe that is the problem.. The cyclists use the sidewalk, which is good! The skateboarders are using the middle of the road, which is not good. If they used the sidewalk it wouldn't be a problem.
I do live at your lake!!! full time resident pay taxes and lake rights. Seems you know a lot about hillbillys
i would like to start it here,
in the US House and US Senate re-elect no one period. pass it on, run in your local papers, post on blogs, facebook etc. vote for who ever you want just for someone, anyone different than who is in there now.
Has anyone seen a large, predatory cat on the loose in Starke County? I'm almost afraid to bring this up because I have no hard evidence to present. But, I will tell you our story:
About two weeks ago, my 12 year old went out to close the chicken barn one evening. It was around 9pm and was almost dark. It should have only taken her a minute, and when she didn't come back, I went out to the barn looking for her. She had locked herself inside and was crying for help.
She said something big came out of the bushes near the barn and growled at her. I thought it might just be a neighbor's dog. But, when I asked her about it, here's what she told me: It was bigger than a Border Collie, smaller than a Great Dane, but it didn't look like a dog; it had a long, thin tail, longer than a dog's tail; when it came out of the bushes, it brushed up against a small tree and the whole tree moved to the side; it growled with a very low, deep pitched, sound (not like a dog); the hogs were afraid of it (hog pen is right beside the barn).
For the past couple of months, all of the dogs in our neighborhood have been barking like crazy every night around 9-10pm. We have three dogs and they are all facing the woods behind our house when they are barking. Until recently, I thought it might be raccoons or skunks.
Last night, I sent the kids outside to get something and they came back in saying they heard a strange sound in the woods. I went out there and heard it, too. There WAS a strange call coming from deep within the woods that I've never heard before around here. And, again, all the dogs in the neighborhood were going crazy.
So, I was just wondering if anyone else has seen or heard anything and thought perhaps it could be a large cat, like a cougar or panther? Having lived in Indiana all of my life, I have never seen one here. But, I have no doubt that my daughter saw something. And I read that they caught a cougar within the city limits of Chicago a few years back. And the DNR confirmed two sightings of cougars in Indiana in 2009 and 2010, but those were in Greene & Clay counties, southern Indiana. So, I don't think it's impossible that my daughter saw a large cat. I just don't want it to be reality.
Well, I'm putting this out there so that if cougars are beginning to reinhabit Indiana, you'll have a 'heads up.' Please let me know if anyone else has had an experience like this.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
L.H.B.

About trash, in the olden day...70's...inmates used to go out on "chain gangs" & clean the roads, but I don't think the officers could handle it now, or the inmates are too lazy..or both.
About politics...I vote for the best candidate, regardless of party. but it's astonishing that nobody knows the history, that the Republicans were the North, or Union, & the Democrats were the South, or Confederacy. So I guess the South has rose again(except for the owning slaves part),...or wait, isn't that what we've become?
Yes, I'll remember the ELECTED OFFICIALS giving themselves a raise at Election time. Rediculous!
Can anyone explain why my wife got a letter saying the judge put our daughter's name under child support obligation, even though we are married and living together? My wife told her in court she had the wrong child but the judge would not listen.
I'm sure the animal your daughter seen was a coyote. There fur makes them look bigger. Not saying that it couldn't be a wild. The way to find out is put scraps out in the same place every night and get a game camera that attaches to a tree. It has a built in night camera and night vision. You get it used to going to the same spot every night and it will be easy to get rid of it if you need to.
I know this is old news, but I can't believe you would print a comment from Ray Trusty containing such vulgar language! And pray tell, what does "grow a pair" mean? This blog appeared July 5th
I am thinking about being at Jack Haut's trial hearing this Wed. I would like to see him get the maximum sentence. Starke County will give him a pat on the hand, like in the past!
