ohh my goodness, there were horses walking down Main Street inthe parade.
Hey, calling it your job, ol' hoss, sure don't make it right,
But if you want me to I'll say a prayer for your soul tonight.
And grandma's on the front porch swing with a Bible in her hand;
Sometimes I hear her singing "Take me to the Promised Land."
yes i have gained weight but no reason to call me a horse.

grandma sent me to the store with this list, either she is making crack or canning apples i am not sure.
You could save a lot of money when doing the new jail by eliminating, tvs, computers, the library. If you did that there would be no repeat offenders living the good life
What? Do you just want to treat inmates like animals...or worse? If you want to just give up on them you might as well take'em out back & shoot'em. I don't condonce the cable or extra privelidges, but the whole point is to reform minor criminals to become an integral part of society, which most have never been taught. A library is a great asset. GED classes, church service, drug rehab, & even work programs are all necessary aspects in which to bring success into their lives, & in turn..ours. These people need to be shown, taught, that there's better alternatives than drugs, alcohol, or stealing. But yes, this jail is completely unsanitary. People are a product of their environment, and frankly, Starke Co. as an environment needs alot of changes. Too many broken families, too many people who think they're better than others, showing much disrespect & degredation. I've lived all my life here, but have traveled much, & I do see that Starke Co. has a "negetive" cloud over it...& I'd like that to change.
Why do we, as a whole, spend so much time pointing fingers at who we think is the cause of any related topic. Instead, try pointing at the prople that will try to make our county/city better. Try pointing in the direction we should be going in, not who got us off course. We all know this area, like many others, has been ran on the "good ole boy" system. We also know that because of hireing/electing these people, male and female, this area has been taken down a very rocky if not crooked road. For too long the best interest of the county as a whole has been second to who may benefit. We cannot expect anyhthing to change for the better if we continue to help "friends" instead thinking of the comunity in general. What it really breaks down to is common sense. Solutions to the current issues being discused by the county council may not be simple. However, bringing in an outside agency to audit and/or review the actions and records would give an more clearer account. Friends, family, or just "good ole boy" politics would be eliminated and a true account would be the result. I LOVE this county. I will be laid to rest here. But until then, having a system in place that has the interest of the community instead of friends, family, good ole boys, or just "nice guys" at heart would make this a even greater community.
People complain about our county all the time, but are they trying to help the county? For the ones that are doing the complaining step up and help make it better. Of course the prisoners need a clean place to be. But also those prisoners make the mess in their cells. The conditions of jail may also be bad. But the county controls the money that goes to the jail. So don't blame the conditions on the people that are working in the jail. Everyone in our county needs to get back to spending Sundays in the house of the lord. Bless all of our county.
I agree that our jails need to be clean, but, however some of the conviences are not necessary. You can rehabilitate people without cable tv and some of the extra bonuses. A lot of people on the outside don't have these luxuries. And even though people will boo me, there are just some people that don't want to be rehabilitated!!!!
I agree about helping the inmates become better citizens, but they don't need all the extra stuff. They need to work like old prisoners use to have to and maybe they would dread jail a little more. I know people that have been in and out of jail there whole life and it seems like they don't mind going back. If they had to get out on the road and work for free to help our community I gaurantee half of them wouldn't be back.
When someone writes about the fall of America many years from now, I wonder what will be said? Will we even get as much mention as the Roman Empire? At this point America has only been around about half as long. Will writers talk about our decadence, laziness, ineffective political representatives and internal destruction? Our jails are overflowing with no plan other than building a bigger one. Employers have trouble getting people to work a full week. Many Americans think government owes them a good life. We hear about home grown terrorists on the news almost every day. Our students are ranked somewhere around 18th in the world. China holds more than a trillion dollars of US debt. That means every American family owes China about $15,000. I could go on, but you get the idea. So who should we blame for our dismal future?
I just to say a big "thank you" to the mayor and his wife! I saw them both picking up the trash down Main Street, left over by the Harvest Fest parade. That goes a long way in my book!!! Way to go:)Thanks again!
workers of starke county!!! lets fight back against these companies who offer lower than deserved wages and no benifits!!! lets organize, and gain control in the workplace with a VOICE!!
If you where having a special 9-11 memorial service, why would you not put it at the TOP of your website? It makes things easier for people to know what is going on without having to search for it.
I could not be at the 911 program in Knox, but I watched it on the TV last night. It was still terrifying to watch what happened that day. It was like the end of the world. All the lives that were lost that day is so sad, not only adults but the children in the building. Praise goes out to all who spent days digging for people with little hope of finding people. Be proud of them and be proud that you are an American. Pray for all of those families that lost loved ones. Good Bless us all.
I have a son who made some bad choices. He is not a bad person but became part of the drug and crime statistic of the great Starke and Pulaski Counties. I do not think our jail system is the answer for these young people but until something better comes along it is all we have. The county used to be able to take them out and work them but now that is too much of a "liability". So, these kids sit in a cell 24-7. I used to have the same opinion as many I have seen posted but I have learned a lot of lessons. We, as a society, are failing when our jails are full and they have to build more prisons to house all the criminals. How about the old day. Really? What would be wrong with working them like(excuse my redneck speech) "dirty bruts" so they won't want to go back to jail? Have some compassion. Our jails are far from a bed of roses. And I will say this.. the Pulaski County Jail has an excellent group of staff. I thank God for each one of them.
To anon, Sept.9, 3:19pm...the demise of our country took place when we took God out of our everyday lives. The Bible used to be taught in ALL schools, but in 1962 ONE woman stopped that. My grandparents generation,(the WWII gen), quite possibly America's greatest ever, ALL went to church on Sunday. The American Dream then was just a comfy home, warm meals & loving family. But now, we over-indulge ABUNDANTLY, with people so rich it's sickening. They put down 20% to buy a house, paid cash for their cars, they were conservative, grew much, or bought local, of their food, didn't live in a "rush", & put life in God's hands. But now, you are correct, everyone wants to depend on our Government. We, as citizens, need to rise up & dig our way out through faith, humility & hard work...BY EVERYONE. And through God's MERCY & our Repentance we WILL rise up like Eagles!
The United States has THE HIGHEST rate per capita(% wise)of incarceration, people in jails or prisons, of any country in the WHOLE WORLD. Has our brilliant thinkers & leaders been able to ponder this & figure out the decline in morality in our society? Very interested in their theories.
Has anyone heard when and where they are going to start removing the log jambs on the Yellow River?
Most school bus drivers are great. They are well trained, courteous, and they care about their “cargo.” However, for the past two school years, I have watched a woman drive bus here in North Judson that should not be allowed to drive anyone around, especially children.
Three times now, after her route, she has come upon my vehicle while driving down a country road and dogged me for miles. The only thing I could see in my rear view mirror was the grill of her bus. Now, what if someone pulled out in front of me and I had to stop quickly? How would this woman be able to stop her bus and not plow into me? The third time this happened I called the bus garage and spoke to her supervisor. He said he'd talk to her about it.
A few months later, as I was driving to North Judson, I approached a house with a school bus parked out front. The driver pulled out right in front of me and I had to brake quickly. The driver did not look for oncoming traffic! I looked at the bus number only to see that it was the same bus that had tailgated me. The driver turned towards the school and as she raced down the road, she swerved off the road onto the shoulder, sending dust and rocks flying everywhere. This happened several times, like when someone is trying to dial a phone or text while driving. As she continued to speed through town, she ignored both the stop signs and the railroad tracks.
On yet another occasion, I observed this school bus driver running the stop light/sign in North Judson. This time she had a bus full of children. No, she didn't blast her way through the intersection, but she did not stop either.
I cannot be the only person in this county to see this bus driver's impatient and reckless driving, can I? I do not know the woman. The only time I've ever seen her is when she is in her school bus driving down the road. Yet, it seems that each time we cross paths, she does something careless.
I will say that most of the mistakes I observed were when there were no children on the bus. But, this is a person who drives a school bus for a living. If you are a "professional" driver, driving public school property, you should exhibit exemplary driving skills whether your bus is loaded full of children or empty. Driving a school bus like an aggressive, distracted nut does not instill in us parents any confidence. In fact, it makes some of us pull our children off the school bus and drive them to and from school ourselves.
At the end of the last school year, my children came home and told me that there were going to be some changes to the bus routes. After hearing some things from others, I thought that perhaps this particular bus driver had been let go. But, today, as I was coming home, I stopped at a stop sign. A school bus came rumbling up behind me and I watched it in the rear view mirror. My 7 year old turned around to see what was behind us and said “Holy cow! Look at this bus!” If we could open our back window, we could have reached out and touched the bus. Can you guess who the bus driver was?
I do not wish for anyone to lose their job, especially in this economy, but I am concerned about the safety of the children with her aggressive and haphazard driving. Even with my complaints, and possibly others, she is still driving our children around. PLEASE let's all help keep our children safe! Keep watch and report any irregular or reckless driving by school bus drivers. It only takes one careless mistake for many heartaches to result.
Why is it that when teachers get a raise/or even ask for one that there is a lot of complaining. Especially on a boards like this one. Everyone gets all up in arms "why should they get a raise, my kid isn't doing well." "didn't they just get a raise" etc. The City of Knox just passed next years budget including a 2% raise for everyone. Why is no one complaining about this? Are there not things in the city that this money could be used for?
The truth is that I do not begrudge the city employees the raise. I am just tired of a lot of the taxpayers being hypocritical about how tax dollars are spent. Hey, here's an idea. Put more money into the schools and implement a drug rehab program in the county and then we won't have to spend so much on jails and paying for inmates.
It not only happens in North Judson, drivers being careless. I go to work down highway 35 in the morning and I have seen a Knox driver run the stop sign at Toto road and be talking on her phone. Transportation directors need to get on the ball with these reports, warn the bus drivers they will not put up with these things, protect our children.
I think teachers should get paid way more than they do.
I don't see anyone paying off their college debt to become teachers. They teach the future leaders, doctors, etc of our country.
Not only that, I think they should get paid quite handsomely just for putting up with our bratty kids, especially at the jr high and high school level!
And, no, I am not a teacher, just a person who wonders and is awe of anyone willing to take on 40,000 in debt just to get paid half of what they are worth, for no other reason than to try to teach a bunch of kids who have no interest in learning.
My hat is off to those brave soldiers, lol. I would rather shovel horse manure all day than deal with what teachers have to go through on a daily basis.
Thank you!!! (Anon. 12:06 pm) Your comments just made the day of many teachers!
I think teachers should be paid well, but there are a lot kids not getting the help that they need. When a child fails a class, where was the teacher then and repeatly put the child back in the same class not once but twice more and they failed each time. I know the teachers can only do so much, but why did this fall under the crack. Teachers please pay attention to slower students that need help. They need the encouragement from you and not everyone understand everything that is being taught. You are the one that grades all these students. Step up and give them some kind of help.
Teachers earn every cent they're paid. But how much attention do you think a teacher can give 1 student when they have approx 30 kids, the schedule is rushed, with most kids getting very little help at home. I know they're doing their best, but parents need to step up & take responsibility. Sad thing is that kids are have to learn morales & values at school as well, which is a parental duty. Bottom line, teachers NEED Aides to help. It's imperative. And instead of complaining, how many parents have offered to help...maybe as tutors? Because if a student is struggling, a tutor is very beneficial. It also shows the student people care, which many times motivates the student to work harder. Then, we have the psychology aspect, with so many children just desperate for attention. there's just so many factors in teaching that nobody has any room to badger or complain. Instead, let's support them 100% and look for ways to assist them & the students. AND...I know from my children in Jr.High that with the new scheduling, with more classes in shorter time periods, that the teachers & students are working hard to cram all the work into shorter class, making it very difficult to alot time for more personal instruction. So I'm not certain if this scheduling is beneficial for anyone.
I agree with teachers not being paid enough. Plus trying to teach kids, they are babysitters as well. Our state superintendant wants schools to have 2,000 students, but doesn't think the teachers need aides!! One teacher in a room with more than 20 students is outrageous! How about Tony Bennett trying it!!!!!
Tony Bennett is totally out of touch with reality. He makes his decisions on paper, looking at how to moderate & decrease budgets. He's looking at Quantity instead of Quality. Doesn't matter if a school has 2,000 or 200 students, they all require some individual attention sometime, & 1 teacher is not able with the time table they're forced to keep. Why not establish an internship program with college & high school students studying to become teachers, more volunteer programs & just downright highering of some Aides, because teachers need a hand. It seems our Gov't will do whatever it takes, with taxpayer$ to keep dishonorable businesses above water, yet they try to just "get by" on ecucation & blame the teachers for low scores. Education is our foundation, with which great investment reaps great future societal benefits!
US 15 year olds rank 14th in reading, math & science behind South Korea #1, Finland, Canada, New Zealand, Japan, Australia, Netherlands, Belgium, Norway, Estonia, Switzerland, Poland, Iceland & US #14.
US students spend 6.5 hours a day at school 180 days a year. That means parents get 86% of a child's time and teachers get 14%. Draw your own conclusion.
I hope the state of Indiana votes Tony Bennett OUT of office in the next election. He does not care about our children.
Interesting that South Korean students, while ranking highest academically, rank lowest of all OECD countries in student happiness.
The Mayan indian calender ends December 21st 2012. they had a city of gold, they were distoried by basicly the swine or bird flu carried by far eastern travelers.
the USA then became the new city of gold, the mid and far east are taking our gold. december of 2012 2trillion dollars of US bonds which are held by china will be due, china may demand payment not just interest, if they choose payment the .............(just fill in your own ideas of how the world will end)
To Knox Zoneing. The only thing they do is collect for building permits . Just another way to make money but put nothing back into the city.
I live outside the 2 mile "city limit" and still had to buy a permit for a yard barn. A permit, basicly is "giving you permission"...for a price(fee). And each year we see more things that need a permit(Permission). I know of a small business that has a yearly anniversary, & just to GIVE AWAY food, they have to buy a $35 permit...to give away food. Ludicris. The more permits they issue to raise $, the more freedoms they are taking away from Americans!
What's the use of owning a home when you have to get permission to do anything to improve it????
To the person who lives outside the 2 mile and had to but a permit for a yard barn . Who did you pay for the permit?
Regarding the City Court costs being cited as reason for abolition. Could someone break down that reported $159,000 cost to run the city court. This seems kind of inflated to me, I could be wrong as Starke County is noted for it's honesty with the figures!
It exceeded the 100 sq.ft., so it was purchased through the St.Co.Planning Comm., which is standard. But what this seems to me is that The City feels it's not getting "it's" fair share of the permits purchased & wants to enforce the 2 mile rule in order so that the "proper" permit gets purchased in the proper office
There are a lot of poperty around Starke County is a sight for sore eyes. Most people are proud to have a nice property. But when you have to buy a permit on trying to up keep your property everytime you want to fix it up I can see why people get discouraged in not doing nothing to it. Everything needs a permit whether you live in the two miles, or you live out in the country. And if you add a shed or polebarn your property rates goes up. Once you have a home on that property you should not have to have your taxes raise because of it.
Speaking about the library.
I have noticed this past month since school started, after 3 pm there are middle school students laying all over the lawn out in front. sometimes they are actually on top of each other. They are 'making out' and it is pretty disgusting. This looks terrible for our town.
Why in the world would kids that age need to be laying on the lawn anyway.
Surely they can find a way home at that age.
I know there used to be a security guard in the library at this time of day [ which is a sad in itself] could he not chase them away?
We have such a wonderful library and the ladies are wonderful and helpful, and it is NOT their job to monitor this. Parents need to know.
I found a black/brown medium sized dog at bass lake by the BLPOA building with no tags. Anyone know of a missing dog that needs returned home?
I am concerned with the Offense Knox football has been running for the past 5-6 years. It's become too predictable, and long to see a DIVERSE Offense in which the opposing Defense doesn't already have a better than 50% guess on what's coming. We keep running the same thing, and it's NOT working. We have great athletes...use them. I long to see a tradition of very good football teams here at Knox. I also question why Knox is a 3A school. There's no way we are the same size as all these 3A schools, & this need to be modified. GO REDSKINS!
why is it the knox varstiy football program is the way it is ? why are kids mismatched to thier positions and why do they only have about a 5 play deep play book ?
I just checked out the tidbits tab on the WKVI website. I was very impressed by the stories posted there. Very informative. Kudos WKVI! If you get a chance, you should check it out.
FYI....Before complaining and saying we need to change our elected officials, take some time to think before you write. Elected officials try to do what is best for the county. Some may agree, some may disagree. Most officials value YOUR opinion, BUT you have to give it to them BEFORE a vote is made, not after. County officials have their email and phone numbers listed on the Starke County website. All topics are listed in advance so you have time to contact them. They will listen to what you have to say, but you have to say something, otherwise, you leave it up to them. The library project had been discussed for 3 months. If you thought it was a good or bad idea, you should have gone to a meeting or contacted someone BEFORE the vote.
What about the hospital or the jail?? Attend the meetings and voice your opinion.
Just thought you would like to know a bit about how things could work. You have to do your part also.
Congrats to the Know Pop Warner football Tiny mites they had a great game beating Lake Station Team. It was their homecoming game and the fence was decorated with posters of the players and cheerleaders, some posters were very artistic. Good Job Kids! your great!
We were coming home from Plymouth last night and it was dark and kinda rainy, so the visibility wasn't the greatest. We were driving about 60 mph, when a car came out of the blue and flew by us in the left lane, probably at 85-90 miles per hours. We both were startled, and then noticed that it was a police car. No lights, no siren, nothing to indicate to other drivers that he was speeding WAY over the limit. It seriously could have been a dangerous situation if someone had looked in their mirror, and seen his headlights a safe distance back, and then pulled out into that lane, only to discover he was flying!
Please, police officers, if you are speeding on the highway, please at least use your lights so that other cars are alerted!
Is there anywhere in the County where you can cash your change and not have to pay to do this?
GAS $3.19 in Indianapolis today.
Knox $3.46
below $3 several other states
When someone complaines about a bus driver being reckless about their driving or driving and talking on their cell phones, first complain to the transportation director, if they do nothing, go higher up to the Superindent, and then if nothing happens go to the school board, and then if nothing is done you can call the state and they will do something, have your facts who you are complaining about, their name and bus number. We as parents are only trying to protect our children. Bus drivers we know most of you are very good drivers, but when you see one of your fellow drivers do something wrong it is also your duty to report them.
I don't know much about football but as far as the Knox Football program goes I am sure that they run more than 5 plays. Have you talked to the coach? I too long for a good tradition of football here in Knox, but until the community and parents decide that it is important it will just be the same. We need to support the program and the kids playing.
between the pop warner and the knox youth football leagues knox has at least 250 kids in a football feeder program, so its up to kms and khs to work with the talent that is handed to them free for charge, there is no harder working people than the parents and leaders in these 2 programs.
Are the youth leagues running the same stuff as the Middle School? If not I would ask why not. That is how programs are developed.
IN is 1 of only 4 states with a Gas Tax, so yeah...that's why our gas is higher. About Knox football, we've worked & coached for MANY years in youth football, & honestly we ran a more diverse offense. I also want to see coaches COACH with the dedication & passion as if it's their own kids out there. I see some that seem to be just there for the extra $, & that truely offends those of us that have prepared these kids for success, because we HAVE sent you ALOT of top notch players, but without the proper leadership & coaching are just gonna struggle to be .500 like most other Knox teams. Point blank....KNOX OFFENSE IS TOO PREDICTABLE!
In the "police reports", all you see is theft & break-ins in the county. The County Sheriffs should make themselves seen out there more often. Do they only come out when called? As far as the people living inside city limits, they are a little safer from the break- ins. I would like to see the city officers patrol more of the side streets, other than just Main & Heaton. Remember, there is a huge meth problem, and most/all of these meth users get the drug money from stealing. Patrolmen/Policemen, let the meth-heads SEE YOU! I love to see you on my street! I feel safer. Criminals have gotten bolder in the city by breaking into that Starke County Building on the corner of Culver & East St. And now Mark's Body Shop. Who's next?
WKVI needs a separate blog spot for parents complaining about school sports. I'm tired of reading it. You're lucky to have sports available to your children and lucky that people give their time to to coach and so on. Go live in a third world country and see if school sports is what bothers you in life! I would like to see these complainers put in half the enery into important community issues that they do sports. NONE of your kids are going on to the NFL, so prepare them for the REAL life they will soon be living. None of these complainers/parents are in the NFL, so get over it!!!
Obviously the "sports comments" AREN'T directed towards you. But many of us parents are very involved in our childrens lives, spending thousands of dollars & hours in teaching them hard work, perseverence & team work, & we're quite proud when they suceed together. But F.Y.I., it's our tax dollars paying the coaches, funding the fields, parents paying admission(+ food is over $50 a game), and these kids get 1 chance to go through high school & have worked for 8-10 yrs to have a winning team, so when we don't see the level of leadership we desire for our children, we have every right to express our opinions. So, if this doesn't apply to you.....THEN MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS. because there's many in Knox working hard to establish a winning football tradition.
Uhhh...we DON'T live in a 3rd world country...we're Americans, & we love dearly all the freedoms our forefathers & present soldiers fight for. And 1 is raising our kids & enjoying athletics. Why don't you go to a 3rd world country & help them better their lives, because you're not helping ours.
I'm not the person who posted about the athletic comments, but I would have to say to Ms./Mr. MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS...we are also taxpayers funding your little Johnny's athletic events...even if we don't feel it is necessary. Education should come first and athletics should be extracurricular. If you want to spend thousands so your child can participate in sports and can afford to do so, by all means...do it. Not everyone agrees with that line of thinking. I quit subscribing to the local paper years ago when athletics took over and there was more athletic junk in it than news. It just isn't important to everyone and your child is 99% not likely to become a major league sports star.
So why teach them that their 8-10 years of hard work is any less valueable win or lose? It should be about the experience and what they have learned being on a team. Why not go to the coaches personally and complain? I think you know why! In life there has to be a winner and there has to be a loser! What about when they get a job and don't get the big promotion they want, are they going to have mom/dad call the boss and complain or write bad comments online? I want my child to enjoy the school sport experince (WIN OR LOSE) (GOOD COACH OR BAD COACH). I'm not afraid of school sports, I'm afraid of the parents!
By the way, Thank You Sept. 29 @ 7:25am. I thought they were going to come to my house with torches! (lol)
So what if none of "our" children are going to be in professional sports ? IF that were true then there wouldnt be ANY professional sports ! Thats like saying NONE of your kids will every be president so dont have them take government social studies or pretty much any poli/sci, law, or civil classes in high school or college. And like it or not this town HAS produced some pro caliber athletes. I wonder if John Q. Public told them they would never succeed ? And ummm last i looked this isnt exactly a high median income community so much like inner city youth sports AND academics are a way to earn scholarships to gain a higher education to afford thierselves a better way of life. But since little johnny and jenny arent going to be $100 million athletes then they shouldnt put forth any effort ? And statistically they will NEVER be president or any state represenative so hey slack off on the school work too ! And as far as 3rd world countries go....lets see.... soccer aka football is just about the most popular sport in THE WORLD and what do you always see in the price of a cup of coffee will feed them for a week commercials ? A SOCCER BALL !!!!! Thats right ! 3rd world kids play sports too AND some do become stars !! Maybe somebody is just mad cuz they rode the bench in school or never even tried to put forth the effort to go out for anything ? As far as your tax money....yes sports does take some of it but so does $5 a head to get into a football game, basketball game, volleyball game, wrestling meet, swim meet etc. etc. etc. the concessions that are sold, fund raisers to help offset costs and the simple donations of our time so dont get to comfy on your high horse because you arent the ONLY person flipping the bill . I swear.. some people are just to dense to look outside the box !
Good Luck Redskin Brigade at Districts this weekend!
All the best tonight at homecoming Skins....PROTECT THIS HOUSE !
The decline in our society is a direct result of our nation's attempt to dismiss God from it's presence. "A nation turned from God will be turned into Hell". Want to see morality return? Get up on Sunday, take yourself and family to church; seek God's face in your life and you will find that things will start to get better..one person, one drop of blood, at a time.
I see a comment on here regarding teachers. For those in the field of education truly interested in our children, I commend you. To those of you who are there for your own agenda or who have become burnt out, please retire. I know what you do is tough. Personally, I wouldn't do it. I would have to be starving with no other way possible to pay bills. I might even consider welfare first!! I subbed for a class of freshmen one year. When I went home I went strait to bed and stayed there with the covers pulled around my head for hours. My husband came to check on me awhile later. I told him "those kids shouldn't be in school, they should be in jail"! Sadly, I believe many have gone that route.
News flash...participating in sports DOES prepare children for "real life". FYI there is an epidemic of obesity in the US. Encouraging participation in sports ensures children will grow up and healthy and strong. It does not matter how smart you are if you become debilitated by disease at a young age. You know what is wrong with our county? Too many people concerned only with themselves. IF you had a grandchild that excelled or loved a sport I bet you would be all up for it then...unless you don't have a heart. Hmmm...
Oh yeah...and by the way...if you don't like what is posted on blogs then don't read them. If you are tired of hearing about athletics, coaches and proud parents then go to a different webpage. No one said you had to read what is posted here. There is a little bar just at the top of the page where you can enter a different web address or there is that little red X in the top right corner. If you get really upset, you can always turn your computer off....just some thoughts to help you sleep better at night.
The election is a little more than two weeks away. I pray the voters make their decision based on who best will work to make our city a better place by working hard to improve the conditions in the community. The negative issues that affect our community are not Democrat or Republican. They affect all of us the same regardless of our political party affiliation. I hope the voters will put community first and politics last in this election.
